Cefalù, Sicily
There are a few things I especially loved about Cefalù. Sunset at the old harbor feels like a scene from an old Italian film. A small family run bakery just outside the center had the best cannoli I tried in Sicily. And waking up early to walk through the old town, seeing towels hanging over the balconies, is one of my favorite memories from the trip.
I’ll admit, we didn’t spend enough time here. If you can, plan for at least two full days. It’s an easy day trip from Palermo, only about 45 minutes by train, but it’s worth staying longer.
