Scopello, Sicily

Scopello is a small village on the northwestern coast of Sicily, about halfway between Trapani and Palermo.

The coastline around Scopello is among the most unspoiled in Sicily. You’re just minutes from the Zingaro Nature Reserve, a protected area with pristine beaches and scenic hiking trails. The village is only a few blocks wide, and with limited accommodations, it’s pretty calm in the evenings, after the day trippers have gone.

We spent two full days here and loved it: one day at the beach and another walking the trails of the Zingaro Reserve.

What you’ll find in this guide: what to do, where to eat, where to stay, plus a travel FAQ. At the top is a TL;DR for those who just want the list.
